I hold a Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Maryland. My research examines Indigenous environmental governance and the longstanding political roles of Mẽbêngôkre-Kayapó women in Brazil’s Amazon-Cerrado region, and how their governance practices challenge dominant assumptions about gender, leadership, and ownership. Through collaborative research and applied writing, I translate complex social and environmental issues into accessible materials for policy, nonprofit, and academic audiences.
